    Arenko are hiring a Business Analyst to help improve our leading software and AI platform. Reporting to the Chief Product Officer you will work alongside and collaborate with users, commercial, data analysts and the software development team. You will be responsible for performing detailed requirements analysis, documenting processes, and performing some user acceptance testing. With an analytical mindset you will have the ability to communicate complex concepts to non-technical users.

This is great opportunity for a Business Analyst to join our expanding Product team in pursuit of achieving Arenko’s mission of a zero-carbon grid worldwide.

    THE ROLE:

    • Performing ongoing reviews of business processes, uncovering areas for improvement, and developing and implementing solutions
    • Producing business and functional requirements
    • Working with stakeholders to help prioritise initiatives based on business needs and requirements
    • Supporting project teams during the analysis and planning stages of software development
    • Ensuring solutions meet business needs and requirements

    • Ensuring delivered software is fit for purpose, by performing/assisting with user acceptance testing of software before release
    • Developing quality assurance practices and assessments to ensure compliance with best practice and relevant regulations
    • Working with the technical team to estimate costs and time requirements of projects
    • Working with the product and technical teams to evaluate risks and predict potential problems
    • Acquiring knowledge of products or services provided by the business
    • Effectively documenting and communicating your insights and plans to cross-functional team members and management
    • Facilitating educational workshops for team members

    ABOUT YOU:

    • Good written communication skills, with the ability to write high quality business and functional requirement documentation
    • Good verbal skills, with the ability to communicate with all levels of staff and management, and participate in customer and in-house meetings/workshops
    • Good business analysis skills
    • Strong problem-solving skills
    • Ability to build working relationships
    • Ability to multi-task whilst assessing and establishing relevant priorities
    • Good presentational skills
    • Enthusiastic and self-motivated
    • Possessing an appreciation of commercial issues

    Role Requirements

    • At least 3 years of experience in working as a Business Analyst preferably in a commercial software delivery environment
    • A history of supporting successful projects
    • Experience of engaging with business users one to one and in workshops to define business and functional requirements
    • Experience of working with technical delivery teams to meet functional requirements
    • Previous energy markets experience is an advantage but not essential
